It can be overwhelming but.......
Planning such a beautiful event can be a joyful experience with just a little advanced decision making. To get you started, here are a few simple things to consider, to make the task fabulous, and fun.....
The Dress
Have you chosen your dress? If you have bridesmaids, are their dresses chosen? The style and color will help set the theme for your flowers.
Is your style more formal? Or simple?
Will you and your bridesmaids be wearing statement jewelry? Or will the bouquets be the main accessories?
Will pale flowers work best with what you've chosen? Or do you dream of a bolder palette of colors?
Considering these elements will make your choice easily begin to take shape. Feel free to fill out our wedding questionnaire to get started!
The Venue
Where will the ceremony and reception take place? Do the settings seem to call for a lot of flowers throughout the venue? Or just a few? Accent flowers installed on site at a wedding venue can tie the entire day's events together. Sometimes, however, that can be accomplished with just a few, carefully selected floral varieties and colors.
The questions to consider: Many flowers, or just a few? Simple? Or formal? Your designer can help you with varieties that will match your vision.
The Budget
Let's face it, this can be the tough part, but it doesn't have to be. The season, the location and weather can all affect the price of your flowers. Your designer can be a big help in finding varieties that will make the look you dream of match your budget. It always helps, though, to have a starting point. According to both The Knot and Bride's magazines, 10% of your total wedding budget is what's typically spent on the flowers.
Set your expectations accordingly. Knot Note: The average wedding cost is $31,213.
